Natural Intelligence > Artificial Intelligence

I’m a huge fan of the opportunities enabled by AI and what it will unlock for so many people across the globe.

But, like all technology, it should be used merely as a vessel to enable more real connections with the world around us.

Technology (ie: remote work tools, Starlink) has enabled a lifestyle by which I can live and work in stunning locations around the world, meeting incredible people. And advancements in AI will only further enable this for me and many other people.

In other words, I get most excited about technology/AI because it enables me to more richly experience the world around me.

Canon had a beautiful campaign last year in support of authentic photography, whereby it described the natural world using surrealist AI prompts, called “Natural Intelligence”

It serves as a reminder of the abstract, amazing world around us. Here’s a peek at the campaign that is beautiful in both visual storytelling and copywriting.

I believe that it doesn’t have to be either/or when it comes to AI and NI, but rather there are very strong roles for both.

I look forward to the niche that will emerge for human/nature-powered content, while also embracing the acceleration in productivity that is provided by AI.
